Wanderlust operates a no-trace policy, which means we ask our guests to leave only footprints and remove everything else they bring to the site.
Campsite:
Always pay attention where you step and where you put your hands.
Wear enclosed footwear, preferably hiking boots for bushwalking. This will protect you from eventual injuries from rocks, sticks but also snakes and spider bites.
Please respect your neighboring campers and ensure music is turned off, or at least down low by 10pm.
Toilets:
Use toilets where provided.
Please respect the pristine bushland and the delicate ecosystem that exists at Wanderlust.
Exploring the Property:
Guests are welcome to explore the property, you'll be provided with a map showing you the different hiking tracks and the various property features such as the art cave, grotto etc...
When driving around the property, you must respect Australian road safety laws: wear seat belts at all times, and riding in the tray or on side rails of a vehicle is prohibted.
Please drive slowly around wildlife and cattle and close any gates you open behind you.
Rubbish:
Wanderlust has a no-trace policy: please remove all rubbish from the site. Bottles and cans can be left with staff.
If you see rubbish on the site, please pick it up.
Fire:
Please do not collect firewood from the property. Guests can bring their own, or purchase from Wanderlust for a small fee.
Please do not put rubbish in the fire: this can be hazardous for native animals who might check out your camp once you have left, and broken glass can cause bush fires.
Please ensure your fire is completely out when you leave. Ask for help if you need it.
If the property is subject to a fire ban, it is strictly forbidden to light a fire, even a small one. On-the-spot fines of up to $2,200 can be issued. The property is submitted to fire bans, we will let you know if there's any. In such case it is strictly forbidden to light a fire, even a small one. There are big fines in place from the government : on the spot fine of $2,200.
Wildlife:
Please do not feed the wildlife, especially goannas as they can become a troublesome to campers once they get used to get free food.
Make sure you keep your food packed away at all times, to prevent a sneaky possum or goanna from snatching a free meal!
